About COMPASS

Smoking is the leading cause of preventable disease, disability and premature mortality in Ireland. Socioeconomic differences in smoking contributes to health inequalities. Financial Incentives to Stop Smoking (FISS) have been listed as an effective method to increase long-term smoking abstinence. The COMPASS study aims to co-design and pilot test a financial incentive implementation strategy that can be used by stop smoking services in Ireland.
